The Kodiak Locking Base (right and left) Assemblies bolt either to the Kodiak Grinder Base or your work bench. They are the part that houses the sliding arm assembly that has the three settings (notches). The small steel "guillotine" that swivels on the bracket on the front of the clamp locks the sliding arm assembly into the notches and then the clamp is tightened. If the Grinder Base is not purchased please refer to our diagram or installation video on proper placement of the Locking Base under your grinder.
