25 discs, 5 each of 5 grits: 800, 1200, 1500, 2000, 3000

We feel Wonder Weave makes a superior sanding disc. The high content of Aluminum Oxide is extremely hard which makes it an ideal high-quality, coated abrasive. It has a melting point of 2250 degrees C.

Now you can benefit from these great sanding pads when using your larger sanders for woodworking. Most 5 and 6-inch orbital sanders have a dust collection port and they work great with these mesh discs.

The mesh is non loading in both wet and dry wood and is easy to clean with a blow gun. The special White Fused Aluminum Oxide (see below) is sharp, cuts really well, and will tolerate high temperatures. The hook and loop material is tightly bonded and will take a lot of abuse. To summarize:

  • Made of White Fused Alumina which is hard, and difficult to break making it effective at quickly removing material
  • Hook and Loop
  • High melting point (2250 degrees) is way more than necessary for sanding and won't breakdown as easily as other types
  • Works equally well on inertia sanders, orbital sanders and drill type sanders
  • Use wet or dry
  • Superior construction makes them last longer
  • The cost is about 1/2 of what the competition charges for a similar product (we think ours is better)

Wonder Weave is made of White Fused Alumina (WA) also called White Fused Aluminum Oxide. This is not your mother’s aluminum oxide. It belongs to the electro-fused artificial corundum group, an important mineral widely used in making refractory bricks, pre-cast refractory shapes, ceramic shapes, various surface preparations, sandblasting, and sandpapers – of course. It’s much harder than normal aluminum oxide and is obtained from reduced fusion of high purity calcined alumina in electric arc furnaces. Calcined alumina is the most critical material in the aluminum production industry.

White Fused Alumina is stable chemically and its characteristics are: High purity, self-sharpening, acid and alkali resistant, high temperature resistant, and stable thermal performance. These attributes make it the perfect raw material for many different kinds of abrasives. We feel Wonder Weave makes a superior sanding disc. The high content of Aluminum Oxide is extremely hard which makes it ideal for high-quality, coated abrasives. It’s difficult to break, and that’s a good thing for an abrasive. It has a melting point of 2250 degrees C.  We think you’ll enjoy using our line of quality sanding abrasives at a very affordable price.

NOTE: Certain Orbital Sanders on the market have a problem holding these discs if removed from the work piece while running and will "throw" the pad off.  If this happens on your sander we suggest getting our Wonder Weave Backer Pads which go between the sander and the pad to solve the problem.
